Serving the Military

SolSource is Colorado's most experienced solar engineering, procurement, construction, and project management company serving the U.S. Armed Forces. We design and install solar electric and solar thermal systems for a range of building types from office buildings and public centers, to airplane hangers to warehouses. We have completed 10 on-base solar photovoltaic and solar heating systems for four Colorado Air Force and Army bases, including Buckley Air Force Base, Fort Carson Army Base, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, plus the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Denver.

For each system, SolSource meets the technical, environmental and high security needs of our military partners, often delivering completed systems in significant less time than the alloted contract period. These solar installations help Colorado military bases meet the mandates of the Federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 and Executive Order 13423 that require military facilities to increase their percentage of power produced through renewable energy sources.

Headquartered in Denver and working throughout Colorado, we provide full project management services and apply an integrated approach to efficient project installation. SolSource assumes responsibility for the entire design and construction process, beginning with the initial site visit to the final system walk-through. We understand the unique engineering challenges of designing systems for Colorado's variable climate, and offer extensive warranties on our products, including 25 years on solar panel performance and 10 years on inverters. We provide our military partners with full training on solar PV and solar heating systems coupled with 10 year service contracts.
