Enphase Microinverter

Most inverters convert DC power from your solar array into grid compatible AC power. The Enphase Microinverter is an innovation to solar energy production that provides DC to AC conversion from a compact unit attached directly to each individual solar module in the power system. By converting the power at each module, the entire solar power system becomes more productive, reliable, and to have broader application than traditional inverter systems.

In a traditional PV system the performance of the entire system or string of modules is dictated by the performance of the weakest module. By utilizing microinverters, if one module has diminished energy production, the other modules are not affected

The Enphase Energy Microinverter System solves solar power challenges by providing Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) at each solar module, enabling the system to maximize energy harvest at all times, even during variable light conditions.

With the Enphase Microinverter System, installers are no longer limited by system design. Other advantages include reduced space, heat, and noise that are associated with a large inverter. In addition, installations can be easily expanded over time. An initial set of solar modules can be installed and new modules added as needs and budgets grow without requiring the replacement of a large centralized inverter.

This page shows a live web-based display of the Enphase Enlighten monitoring and analytics system of a residential system SolSource installed in Littleton, Colorado. The online monitoring allows homeowners and operators to view and manage the performance of their solar power system at all times. The monitoring system can detect irregularities in module performance and send alerts to users when it suspects an issue needs attention.
