Suntech Modules Suntech, established in 2001, is one of the world’s largest solar module manufacturers. Suntech solar modules are a cost effective solution which can be used in conjunction with a grid-tie inverter to complement a customer’s solar power with electricity from the local utility. The company’s STP-series of solar modules provide a total module efficiency of 14.1%. Suntech Standard Modules are constructed of high quality aluminum frames and high transparency, low-iron, tempered glass. Standard Modules withstand high wind pressure and snow load and maintain performance with water freezing and warping. Suntech's Monocrystalline Standard Modules are made from a monocrystalline silicon substrate sliced from a single large crystal to capture energy from the sun and convert it into electricity. Suntech Monocrystalline Modules offer outstanding low light performance. Suntech's Polycrystalline Standard Modules are manufactured from polycrystalline cast blocks of silicon where each cell contains many small crystals. Polycrystalline modules are well-suited for large-scale deployment for utility and commercial installations and challenging residential arrays. SolSource Energy Solutions, LLC chose 108 Suntech 175 Watt modules for the 18.9 kW PV system on the roof of the Sugar Cube Building in downtown Denver. The building won the Denver Mayor’s 2008 'It's Easy to Be Green' Award, and the PV array is estimated to provide about 5% of the building's common area electrical needs. Suntech offers a 25-year module output warranty on all solar panels.
